MEET RACHEL ACKLEY

Rachel Ackley is a breathwork facilitator, 500-hour yoga instructor and healer with a Master’s in Health Promotion. She has advanced trainings in reiki, restorative yoga, health coaching and physiotherapy. As a teacher, her intention is to bring light to the shadow and help students move closer to a life that feels free on the inside. She believes that once we shine light of conscious awareness on the parts of ourselves that we keep hidden, the darkness loses its power over us and we free up vital energy and the unique gifts that we may not have known were there. 

From her own experiences, she has learned that we will always be our best teacher. Rachel believes that the relationship that we have with ourselves is one of the most important relationships that we can build. Her work comes from using tools from her own path of healing. Her intention is to help others become more aware of their internal environment by becoming aware of their thoughts, feelings and emotions. She helps students identify where and why resistance shows up in the physical, mental and emotional body so they can gain a deeper meaning of life and connect to their purpose and truth. 

Breathwork is one of the most powerful tools that Rachel uses to help students access their unique gifts of creativity and open the heart. It is a self-healing tool that heals wounds at a cellular level and connects you to your internal space. It has the power to change ways of being, anxiety, trauma and depression, while enhancing feelings of love and joy. Rachel works around the seven chakras and teaches that each energy center holds a universal spiritual life lesson that we must learn to evolve into higher consciousness. The breath does the work of shifting any stagnant or blocked energy around the chakras that keeps you feeling low in energy and stuck in life. Leaving breathwork sessions you feel lighter, softer and renewed. You may even experience a feeling of being “high” on energy, love and light.

Workshop Time: 13:00 - 14:30pm (NY EST)  Each Week

Workshop Duration: 4 Weeks - 1 Class per week. Workshops will be recorded to allow those on the program to access as and when needed.

Dates: Apr 19th 26th & May 3rd, 10th

Location: In the comfort of your home online, through Zoom. We will meet once a week, on Sunday’s. Workshop material will be emailed to you at the beginning of the week on Monday. 

Purpose: Self-Development  

We cannot see, hear or touch resistance, but we know it is there because it’s something that can be felt. Resistance shows up in many forms; physically, mentally and emotionally. Once we identify it, we can work towards releasing it and move closer to a life that feels free. This course is great for anyone who is ready for self-healing, to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and connect to their truth. 

WORKSHOP DETAILS:

We will always be our best teacher. The relationship that we have with ourselves is one of the most important relationships we have. We can work to understand ourselves on a deeper level by connecting to our internal environment. Connecting to our internal environment is; becoming aware of our thoughts, feelings and emotions. It is gaining consciousness around the choices we make, understanding what makes us feel the most connected and alive and identifying where and why resistance shows up. 

Resistance shows up in many forms – in the physical, mental, energetic and emotional body. It is also known as stress. Over time if we do not identify the root of the problem, we create our own illness and stay stuck in our ways of being and thinking. Once we identify what makes us feel stuck in life, we can work towards releasing it, move closer to a life that feels free and connect to our most authentic power. Connecting to our power means developing a strong connection to our intuition and moving from a place that feels right in our mind, body, spirit and hearts. Instead of living out of fear, we move forward with courage. This means having trust, speaking honestly and openly about who we are and what we are feeling, and making choices that support out higher self no matter how hard it may be. 

In this workshop, we will examine areas of resistance that can show up around letting go, self-love, fear and rejection. Most of our issues come from our childhood. Our freedom comes by bringing light to our shadow. The work is done through reflection, journaling, group discussion and breathwork. 

WHAT IS BREATHWORK?

Breathwork is a natural healing technique that clears stuck energy around our chakras. When our chakras our open we can connect to our highest potential. We feel energised and are able to connect to our spirit, intuition, love and joy. The breathwork is an active mediation that helps you heal yourself by tapping into the layers of your being and works to push out anything that is causing resistance in the mind, body and spirit. Through the repetition of the breath, you are able to tap into the subconscious and bring light to old habits, ways of thinking and traumas. 

Chakra blocks show up in the form of sickness, stress and depleted energy. They keep us stuck and limit our growth. They stop the flow of energy and awareness which can limit our ability to open and connect to our purpose in life. Purpose is what gives us a true sense of belonging. In order to find it we have to travel back and confront the places that we avoid the most inside. 

This can be a powerful experience that can bring up strong physical sensations and intense feelings that give you an emotional release. You may see waves of colour and experience a feeling of being “high” on energy, light and love. The main purpose of breathwork is to open the heart and invite more creativity into your life. 

At the end of the workshop, you will be given an audio recording that is yours to use anytime.

Materials – the work is done laying down so you will need a comfortable mat or blanket, a white candle to light, ideally palo santo or sage, alternatively any incense you have available to you, a piece of paper and pen, any crystals, stones, feathers or something sacred or symbolic that you would use to put on an altar. Altars are special because they are healing and keep us grounded.
