RITUALS | CHANTING TO RAISE YOUR VIBRATION

Rituals bring a meditative state to our day, a sense of ceremony to life. The beauty is in the simplicity, becoming aware of the present moment and that we are always connected.

By introducing rituals into our daily routine, we will see shifts in our consciousness, perspective, patience and more. They keep us feeling grounded and aligned. They may be testing at times because they require us to slow down but, just when we think we’ve surrendered enough, we must surrender more.

Om. Shanti. Om. This is a mantra for peace, which is widely used around the world in a variety of different practices, cultures, religions and places. Individuals or groups of people that come together will chant “Om Shanti Om” to find peace in their being, purify the mind and soul and bring themselves closer to the source.

Our thoughts have a big impact on what our day looks like and how each moment carries out. Speaking thoughts out loud and into existence is even more powerful. The frequency and vibration of sound has the power to shift your inner frequency and vibration. Depending on the sounds, they can either raise it or lower it.

Chanting is another form of meditation, it is incredibly healing and raises our vibration. The sound resonates strongly with the human body. Sound is not only heard through our ears but through every cell in our body.

So here’s a sanskrit that you can shout out/sing until your heart's content, when you have a spare 10 minutes or want to integrate something new to your morning routine.

Lokah. Samastah. Sukhino. Bhavantu. Which means “may all beings everywhere be happy and free.”

To know what key to chant in, you can search this sanskrit into youtube and there will be many videos that you can follow or that will ease you in. Set your timer to 5, 10 or 15 minutes (it can be longer or shorter if you wish), take a deep breath, close your eyes and repeat Lo-kah Sa-ma-stah Su-khi-no Bha-van-tu.

Once your timer goes and you have come to the end of your chant, do a body scan and feel in to the sensations in your body, you may feel tingling or feel that you are actually vibrating, this is nothing to worry about, it is the wonderful flow and movement of energy.
